What you need to know about Anaheim Harbor RV Park in 5 minutes!
Our first summer on the road with our 30' Class C RV (and towing our van) had a great start at Anaheim Harbor RV Park! Located just ONE mile from Disneyland and Disneyland California Adventure Park, it is an ideal stop for anyone wanting to visit Mickey Mouse that has an RV. Ultimately, you can compare Anaheim Harbor to any other hotel you would book just to go to Disneyland. You book it because it is so close to the park, not necessarily because there is a lot to do on site. Unfortunately for us, Disneyland was closed to out-of-state visitors, so we definitely experienced all the park had to offer during our week there!
We reviewed the park as part of our Weekly Vlog on our YouTube Channel! Check it out! Watching it doesn't count for the whole "5 minutes" thing lol. You can see close up shots of our site, the park, and more.
BOOKING/CHECK-IN
We did everything through their website - research, booking, payment, etc. We looked up the dates, saw availability, paid our deposit, and made the reservation! A few days prior to check-in, we received an email confirming details and such.
Check-in was super smooth. They had our map and site ready, it took no more than five minutes! They did offer a AAA 10% off discount, but because I didn't have my card with me in the moment I was unable to receive it. Kind of a bummer but not the end of the world.
RV SITE
We stayed at a Deluxe +Parking site. The entire RV park is asphalt, but each site had a small turf area with a picnic table and umbrella. We comfortably had our RV, tow dolly, parked van, and room to relax and play. We have a Blackstone Griddle, bikes, and a dog and had plenty of room for everything.
The park is organized with the daily/weekly rental sites near the front [by Harbor Blvd]. There are even more sites available for individuals and families living there full-time. We walked down it a few times, but it kind of felt like we were intruding... everyone kept to themselves so we did too.
AMENITIES & LIFE IN THE PARK
Because it is only the two streets, everything is close. The restrooms and showers were clean and there was never a wait. The pool and trashcans are close, and the community BBQ area was centrally located as well. For what it's worth, it was great to have everything so close!
The pool was a pretty basic pool. No hot tub, but the pool was heated. It started on the shallow end with 3 feet, but had a pretty quick depth to 5 feet so it wasn't the most kid-friendly pool. There were basic pool chairs scattered around and, because everyone mainly stayed there to go to Disneyland, we had it to ourselves most of the week!
The Clubhouse was very basic, filled with some boardgames, an arcade game, but not any room to sit inside. Trash trucks came to empty the dumpsters every week day at 8am, The community area had multiple BBQ grills, picnic tables, and benches for seating, all on turf.
DISNEYLAND
It was clear that pretty much all the other visitors were there to go to Disneyland. We made the one mile walk to Downtown Disney along Harbor Blvd. It isn't the nicest walk. Harbor Blvd is a busy road, and you cross over the on/off ramps for I-5. It was pretty nerve racking making the walk with our 3 and 6 year olds. We had a great time at the shops and restaurants!
The RV Park does advertise a shuttle to the park, however we are pretty sure that just means getting a city bus pass because there was a stop right outside the park on Harbor Blvd.
SUMMARY
Is this a "destination" RV Park? No. But it is just one mile to the ultimate family destination of Disneyland! We were also 20 minutes from Newport Beach and many other fun family activities! More on that in other posts. 5 minutes are up! Let us know on Instagram if you have any questions!
